Polytechnic student becomes a gold medallist of Swiss Kyokushin Karate Championship WKB

Student of Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” Andrii Nazimov became a gold medalist of the Swiss Kyokushin Karate Championship WKB International Championship 2024 Kyokushinkai-Karate Sarnen, winning the 75 kg category among men.

Polytechnic student becomes a gold medallist of Swiss Kyokushin Karate Championship WKB

On 6 April 2024, the Swiss city of Sarnen hosted the WKB International Championship 2024 Kyokushinkai-Karate Sarnen, with 266 athletes representing 37 teams from 14 countries.

A student of academic group 202-FS of Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” Andrii Nazimov became a gold medalist of the prestigious sports tournament as a member of the national team of Ukraine, having won the 75 kg category among men.

According to the results of the competition, the national team of Ukraine took first place among 37 teams participating in the Swiss Championship. The Poltava athletes have 3 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze medals in their personal medal tally.

We sincerely congratulate the gold medallist on another sports victory! We are proud of him and wish him good health, inspiration, and significant personal achievements in conquering new sporting heights!

Earlier, Polytechnic student Andrii Nazimov won the gold medal of the Open Championship of Poltava Region in Kyokushin BuDo Karate (WKB) and became the bronze medallist of the VI Open European Kyokushin Karate Championship among children, boys, juniors and adults.

Recently, Polytechnic students won first place in the Ukrainian Armwrestling Championship among juniors, youth and adults.
