University students take part in the International Scientific Competition “Black Sea Science” by preparing their own scientific developments

Students of the Educational and Research Institute of Information Technologies and Robotics as well as the Educational and Research Institute of Oil and Gas of Poltava Polytechnic took part in the International Student Research Competition “Black Sea Science” at Odesa National Technological University. The future professionals presented the development of a stand for demonstrating the milling machine and prepared a project of a robotic complex.

It should be recalled that the International Student Research Paper Competition “Black Sea Science” has finished at Odesa National Technological University, where students of Poltava Polytechnic were distinguished by their active participation and significant scientific achievements.

Student of the Educational and Research Institute of Information Technologies and Robotics of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” Denys Fenko became an active participant of the student research contest, presenting his research “Development and research of a stand for demonstrating the operation of a computer numerical control milling machine”. The student project was supervised by Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Automation, Electronics and Telecommunications Svitlana Kyslytsia.

Students of the Educational and Research Institute of Information Technologies and Robotics, the Educational and Research Institute of Oil and Gas of the university Oleksandr Bilokin, Lavr Sabelnikov and Serhii Dendeberia created a project of a reconnaissance robotic complex.

Project leaders – Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Automation, Electronics and Telecommunications Oleksandr Laktionov and PhD, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Oil and Gas Engineering and Technology Nazar Pedchenko.

During the second stage of the student research competition, the participants presented their own scientific work in the following areas:

  • Food Science and Technology;
  • Economics and management;
  • Information technology, automation and robotics;
  • Energy and energy efficiency;
  • Ecology and environmental protection;
  • Tourism and hotel and restaurant business.

It should be recalled that during this competition, Polytechnic students were awarded for the high level of scientific research presented at the international competition, and a Polytechnic student became a silver medallist in the international scientific competition, having studied the prospects for the development of “dark” tourism in Ukraine.
